How you can use Bridgelink, what we're responsible for, and what you should know about donations and feature requests.
Yes. Bridgelink is provided free of charge for both personal and commercial use. You may use Bridgelink for any lawful purpose ‐ whether that is personal communication, use within a business, at events, in educational settings, or any other scenario. There are no license fees, subscription costs, usage limits, or hidden charges of any kind.
Yes. You are free to use Bridgelink within a business, organisation, or any commercial context at no cost. No special license, permission, or agreement is required. The same terms apply to all users regardless of whether the use is personal, educational, non‐profit, or commercial.
Bridgelink must only be used for lawful purposes. You may not use Bridgelink to engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations. Beyond that, there are no restrictions on personal or commercial use.
No. Bridgelink is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non‐infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We make no guarantees that Bridgelink will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, be error‐free, or that any defects will be corrected.
No. Bridgelink is a decentralized application that relies on device hardware, WiFi Aware support, and proximity to other users. We do not guarantee that the application will be available, functional, or performant on any particular device or in any particular environment. Functionality may vary depending on your device manufacturer, Android version, firmware, and local conditions. The application may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice.
No. Message delivery depends on the physical proximity of devices, the availability of relay nodes, network conditions, and hardware compatibility. Bridgelink is designed to be "honest about uncertainty" ‐ messages remain marked as "Queued" until delivery is confirmed. We do not guarantee that any message will be delivered within a specific time frame, or at all.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer and any contributors to Bridgelink shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, Bridgelink. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, device damage, personal injury, or any other losses ‐ even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Bridgelink stores all data locally on your device. There are no servers, no cloud backups, and no way for us to recover your data. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your identity and contacts using the built‐in backup feature. The developer accepts no liability for any loss of messages, contacts, encryption keys, or other data for any reason, including but not limited to device failure, application bugs, accidental deletion, or failed restores.
While Bridgelink is designed with strong security principles and uses modern cryptographic standards, no software is perfectly secure. The developer makes no guarantee that Bridgelink is free from security vulnerabilities and accepts no liability for any security breach, data exposure, or compromise arising from the use of Bridgelink. You use Bridgelink at your own risk.
Yes. These terms apply equally to all users ‐ personal, commercial, educational, or otherwise. By downloading, installing, or using Bridgelink, you acknowledge and accept these terms in full.
Donations to Bridgelink are entirely voluntary and are given as a gesture of goodwill and support. A donation does not constitute a contract, agreement, or transaction for goods or services of any kind. Donating does not entitle you to any features, updates, support, priority treatment, influence over development decisions, or any other benefit beyond the satisfaction of supporting the project.
No. Feature requests, bug fixes, and development priorities are determined at the sole and absolute discretion of the developer. Donations do not influence, guarantee, or create any obligation to implement any particular feature, change, or fix. While all feedback is appreciated, the developer reserves the right to accept, reject, defer, or modify any request for any reason or no reason at all.
Donations are voluntary, non‐refundable contributions. By making a donation, you acknowledge that you are giving freely with no expectation of receiving anything in return. If you require a refund, please contact the relevant payment platform directly (e.g. Buy Me a Coffee), as refund policies are governed by their terms of service, not ours.
No. A donation does not establish any form of business relationship, partnership, client relationship, service agreement, or contractual obligation between you and the developer. Donors are not customers, clients, or stakeholders. The developer remains under no obligation to any donor beyond what is described on this page.
