Check Known Issues first

Before submitting a report, please check the Known Issues page to see if your bug has already been reported. This helps us avoid duplicates and get fixes out faster.

How to Submit a Good Bug Report

The more detail you provide, the faster we can find and fix the issue

Reproduce the Bug

Try to make the bug happen again. Note the exact steps you took before it occurred. If it only happens sometimes, note that too.

Take a Screenshot

If the bug is visible on screen (crash dialog, UI glitch, error message), take a screenshot showing the problem.

Export Debug Log

Go to Settings → Advanced → Live Debug to view the debug log. Take a screenshot of the log or copy the relevant entries.

Fill Out the Form

Complete all the fields below. Include the steps to reproduce, what you expected, and what actually happened.

Tips for a useful bug report

  • Be specific ‐ "the app crashes" is less helpful than "the app crashes when I tap send after adding 3 unicode characters"
  • Include the exact error message if one appears
  • Mention if the bug started after an update or has always been there
  • Note whether you're using any custom ROMs (GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, etc.)
  • The debug log from Settings → Advanced → Live Debug often contains the technical cause of the issue
